IS flags and IS music at Swedish asylum centres: The authorities ignore the warning signs

(SPEISA) — Islamism and radicalization of unaccompanied youths is common at Swedish asylum centres, says the Arab pastor Merzek Botros the Christian news magazine Världen Idag. At many asylum centres IS flags are flying and IS music is played, says Botros, who has tried to warn about the development for a long time, but his warnings are ignored.

Recently, the news outlet TT reported that Hörby municipality had discontinued the agreement with a centre for unaccompanied youths, after the municipality became aware that the staff at the centre tried to radicalize the residents.

Merzek Botros is not surprised at what happened in Hörby. As an Arab counselor, he often visits Swedish asylum centres, and has with his own eyes seen many expressions of pure Islamism. In addition to testimonies from the residents, he has seen IS flags and heard IS music inside the venues. Another permanent problem is the threats and harassment of Christian asylum seekers and those who want to convert:

I have helped many Christians to report to the police after being harassed and threatened by Islamists at their asylum centres, says Merzek Botros to Världen Idag. According to Botros, it is not difficult to prove that threats and harassment occur. Even so, they do not get any help from the Swedish police.

After reporting it to the police, they have to return to the same accommodation and then there will be war, says Botros, who believes that many people have been forced to leave their asylum centres. For example, he mentions a man and his wife who converted from Islam to Christianity.

They lived in Huddinge, says Merzek Botros. When they became Christians, the husband’s wife took off the veil. Then she was told she was to be slaughtered. The couple had to flee Sweden and today lives in Germany.
