Motorcycle bomb at pork stall in market in Thailand’s south kills three, wounds 22

(FOREIGN DESK NEWS) — A motorcycle bomb exploded in a market in Thailand’s southern Yala province on Monday, killing three people and wounding 22, a spokesman for the Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC) said, the first such attack in the region in months.

The mostly Muslim provinces of Narathiwat, Pattani and Yala in Thailand’s far south are home to a long-running insurgency by ethnic Malay Muslims fighting for autonomy in which more than 6,000 people have been killed since 2004.

“The criminals put a bomb in a motorcycle and placed it next to a market cart. The force of the explosion caused three people to lose their lives,” said ISOC spokesman Pramote Prom-in. The ISOC is a government security force that operates in the region.

No group claimed immediate responsibility for the attack on Monday, which took place at a morning market.

Police said the motorcycle was placed near a stall selling pork, which is strictly forbidden for Muslims under Islamic Law.

It was not immediately clear whether the bomb was placed at the pork stall in a deliberate attempt to target Thai Buddhists.

The stall’s female owner and a male customer were among the three people killed, police said. The bomb blew off chunks of the market’s corrugated tin roof and wrecked nearby stalls.

The southern provinces have seen hundreds of attacks since 2004, many of them deadly, but there had been fewer violent incidents of late.

Analysts who monitor the conflict say violence from the insurgency fell to an historic low in 2017 despite the fact that talks aimed at bringing peace gained little traction.

Thailand’s military government has tried to revive talks with rebel groups initiated by the previous civilian government, but they have gone almost nowhere.

Resistance to Buddhist rule from Bangkok has existed for decades in the predominantly Muslim southern provinces, waning briefly in the 1990s before resurfacing violently in 2004.

Kabul mourns 100 dead after ambulance bomb

(BBC) — More than 100 people are now believed to have been killed in a suicide bombing on Saturday in Kabul.

Attackers drove an ambulance past a police checkpoint to get to a crowded street in a district full of government buildings and embassies.

Afghanistan’s government has declared a day of mourning for Sunday, as funerals take place and relatives search hospitals for survivors.

The Taliban – a hardline Islamist group – said it was behind the attack.

It was the deadliest attack in Afghanistan for months and took place a week after an attack on a Kabul hotel in which 22 people were killed.

Health Minister Waheed Majroh said most of the 191 people injured were men.

AFP news agency reports that some foreign organisations are “reassessing their presence” in the country after the spate of attacks.

What happened in the latest attack?

Witnesses say the area – also home to offices of the European Union, a hospital and a shopping zone known as Chicken Street – was crowded with people when the bomb exploded on Saturday at about 12:15 local time (08:45 GMT).

Nasrat Rahimi, deputy spokesperson for the Interior Ministry, said the attacker got through a security checkpoint after telling police he was taking a patient to nearby Jamhuriat hospital.

He detonated the bomb at a second checkpoint, said Mr Rahimi.

The International Committee of the Red Cross said the use of an ambulance was “harrowing”.[READ MORE ]

Kabul hotel siege ends after 12 hours with 18 dead, Afghan officials say

(CNN) — Gunmen who raided the Intercontinental Hotel in Kabul killed at least 18 people during a 12-hour standoff with security forces that ended Sunday, Afghan authorities said.

Of those killed, 14 were foreign nationals and four were Afghans, according to Najib Danish, spokesman for the Ministry of Interior. Four gunmen were also killed by Afghan security forces responding to the attack, he said.

Ukraine officials said the victims included Ukrainian nationals.

Nasrat Rahimi, a deputy spokesman for the Interior Ministry, had said earlier that foreigners were among the dead, but did not provide details on the nationalities of the victims. Seven Afghans were wounded, he said.

Afghan security forces went on every floor of the six-story hotel in a clearing operation, said Danish. He said four attackers were involved, but the Taliban released a statement claiming responsibility and saying it was carried out by five assailants.

The attackers were affiliated with the Pakistan-based Haqqani network, according to the Interior Ministry.

The ministry said that 153 people — including 41 foreigners — were rescued from the hotel. After the Interior Ministry declared the siege over, TOLO news channel reported that two attackers were still inside the hotel and gunshots were still being heard.

Gunmen attacked the hotel about 9 p.m. Saturday (11:30 a.m. ET) and were still trading fire with Afghan special forces Sunday morning local time, the station reported. Ambulances raced to the scene during a lull in the shooting, a witness who lives near the hotel told CNN.

Gunmen launch siege at Intercontinental Hotel in Kabul

(CNN) — Afghan special forces traded fire Sunday morning with the remaining gunmen who attacked the Intercontinental Hotel in Kabul hours earlier, Afghanistan’s TOLO news channel reported.

The gunfire intensified about 4 a.m. Sunday (6:30 p.m. Saturday ET), TOLO said. Ambulances came to the scene during a lull in the shooting, a witness who lives near the hotel told CNN.

Nasrat Rahimi, a deputy spokesman for the Ministry of Interior Affairs, earlier told CNN that Afghan special forces were trying to engage the attackers.

Two of four attackers in the hotel have been killed, Rahimi said. He said the hotel’s third floor, where the kitchen is located, had caught fire.

TOLO reported that foreign troops were also at the hotel. Lotfullah Najafizada, the head of the broadcaster said on Twitter that the last attacker was on the hotel’s top floor.
TOLO showed images of people apparently hanging off balconies, saying they were “desperate guests and staff trying to escape” from the burning hotel.

TOLO and Afghan station 1TV News later quoted an interior ministry spokesperson as saying five civilians had been killed and six injured in the attack. One hundred people had been rescued from the hotel, 16 of them foreigners, both broadcasters said on Twitter citing the ministry. They said the operation to clear the hotel was ongoing.

Sweden welcomes jihadis, but wants to deport Christian refugee, who received death threats, to Iran

(VOICE OF EUROPE) — Aideen Strandsson, a Christian woman from Iran, is facing deportation from Sweden after her asylum application was denied by authorities.

The woman converted from Islam to Christianity, after having a dream about Jesus and has already received threats from Muslims because of her conversion.

Aideen came to Sweden in 2014 and received a public baptism. When she pleaded that she could face the death penalty in Iran as an apostate, she got told by Swedish officials that “it’s not our problem if you decided to become a Christian, it’s your problem”.

CBN reports that experts say, Aideen as a Christian, faces certain rape and possible death by the radical Islamic regime, if she is deported back to Iran. This is a clear breach of the Geneva convention on human rights, that says “refugees should not be returned to a country where they face serious threats to their life or freedom”.

Aideen was recently offered a job at the technology giant Ericsson as a technology developer, but wasn’t allowed to take it because she is in Sweden “illegally” according to the Swedish government. Aideen did appeal for a temporary work permit, but it was denied and she has therefore no way of supporting herself.

Meanwhile in Sweden, returning jihadis who have fought for ISIS in Syria, are receiving tax-payer funded driving lessons, free housing and even debt cancellation.

The Swedish government is also giving special status and protected identities to returning jihadi’s to keep locals from finding out who they are and also help them to get new jobs. This is normally only done under very special circumstances in Sweden to people facing serious threats.

Swedish minister for culture and democracy, Alice Bah Kuhnke, has said that returning ISIS fighters should be integrated into society. It appears that Sweden is deporting Christian refugees fleeing persecution in Muslim countries, but returning terrorists are given everything needed to integrate into Swedish society.

After the case with Aideen was made public by CBN, the case has taken a new turn with Hungary offering her asylum in the country. Hungary has refused much Muslim migration into the country.

“We protect Hungary from the invasion of migrants, but we help genuine refugees, those whose lives are in danger because of their religion, nationality or political opinions” says Vice Prime Minister Zsolt Semjén, on the Hungarian government’s website.

Zsolt Semjén points out that they differentiate what they call economic migrants and genuine refugees. He also says that Christian people can easily be integrated in European countries in contrast to Muslims which he says don’t want to integrate. He adds that it is Hungary’s moral and constitutional duty to help Christian migrants seeking a safe haven.

Dutch MEP: The future of Europe is the caliphate. Unless the citizens rise and defend their culture

(VOICE OF EUROPE) — Speaking before the European Parliament in Strassbourg, Marcel de Graaff a Dutch member of parliament, attacked the EU for its “criminal” migration policy that has allowed millions of Muslims into Europe, ensuring that it will eventually come under the rule of Islam.

De Graaff is a member of Geert Wilders’ Freedom Party and the co-chair of the Europe of Nations and Freedom (ENF) group in the European Parliament.

Sweden is preparing for a “civil war”: PM wants to deploy army in no-go zones

(ZERO HEDGE) — Tyler Durden

For the first time since World War II, Sweden is preparing to distribute a civil defense brochure to some 4.7 million households, warning them about the onset of war.

The booklet will serve as a manual of “total defense” in case of a war, and provide details on how to secure basic needs such as water, food, and heating, the FT reported. The manual also covers other threats such as cyber attacks, terrorism, and climate change.

“All of society needs to be prepared for conflict, not just the military. We haven’t been using words such as total defense or high alert for 25-30 years or more. So the knowledge among citizens is very low,” said Christina Andersson, head of the project at the Swedish civil contingencies agency.

The survivalist manual or better known by some as a preppers guide is called “If Crisis or War Comes,” will be published by the government in late spring. Its publication comes at a time when the threat of war from Russia is high, well, possibly, but that is what the mainstream media has conditioned many to believe.

What if the threat is not from Russia, but one that is domestic?

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Stefan Lofven said that Sweden would do whatever it takes, including sending in the army, to end the wave of gang violence situated in the no-go zones around the country. Sweden’s murder rate has been relatively low over the years, but thanks to the migrant crisis, police are powerless in many areas across the country.

“It’s not my first action to put in a military, but I’m prepared to do what it takes to ensure that the seriously organized crime goes away,” Lofven said after the party leadership discussion in parliament.

“But it is also obvious that there are social problems. Last year 300 shootings occurred, 40 people were killed. The new year has begun with new launches. We see criminals with total lack of respect for human life, it’s a terrible development I’m determined to turn around,” he added.

Even the Swedish Democrat leader Jimmie Akesson “declared war” against organized crime and suggested that Sweden should deploy the military to no-go zones to counter the out of control violence.

“People are shot to death in pizza restaurants, people are killed by hand grenades they find on the street,” Akesson said in parliament on Wednesday.

“This is the new Sweden; the new, exciting dynamic, multicultural paradise that so many here in this assembly … have fought to create for so many years,” he said sarcastically.

Peter Imanuelsen, an independent journalist in Sweden, summed up the recent developments in a timeline:

Government sends out leaflets to 4.7 million households telling them how to prepare for war
Leader for Swedish Democrat party says “A war is being waged on Swedish society”
Swedish PM is considering deploying the army in no-go zones. I think I am starting to figure out what’s going on here…
The Swedish government just talked about the possibility of putting the army on the streets to deal with the no-go zone criminal gangs.

To sum up, the Swedish government is preparing for a destabilizing event, while the mainstream media continues to use Russia as the scapegoat. Meanwhile, high ranking government officials in Sweden have echoed in unity that military intervention in dozens of no-go zones across the country is a high probability. At the same time, the government is preparing to hand out millions of survival manuals to their citizens indicating a destabilizing event is nearing.

Late on Wednesday we reported of even more chaos in Sweden when a hand grenade was tossed at a police station in Malmo, resulting in a “huge explosion” according to local media reports.

And lastly, while the three biggest political parties in Sweden urge for a military intervention in the no-go zones, the Swedish civil contingencies agency is frantically trying to print millions of survival manuals to protect the citizens for what appears to be a turbulent future in 2018.

Iranian protestors being tortured, killed and detained in prison

(AMERICAN MILITARY NEWS) — By Melissa Leon

Government protests in Iran might have calmed, but the two-week movement continues to draw international attention, as new reports reveal that protestors are being tortured and possibly even killed while in custody. And, many of those Iranians in custody are being held without charges against them.

One Iranian spoke to Fox News from outside Evin Prison in northern Tehran and said that people in custody are being tortured – “maybe tortured to death.” The Iranian is a 31-year-old activist and business owner whom Fox said declined to give his last name out of fear.

Amir told Fox that one of his friends was arrested “by plainclothes police at the beginning of the protests in Tehran. […] Then he was beaten badly. He said 400 to 500 people were forced into a room that should only hold 120 persons. They suffered all the torture – sleep deprivation, lack of food, all the things.”

Fox reported that Amir said conditions inside the prison are “beyond abhorrent,” and that prison officials are attempted to force detainees to film videos insisting they’re being treated well, known as “stage managing.”

“People are very concerned about the health of the arrested people. Mothers are there and they don’t know anything about their child’s situation, or even if they are alive,” another protestor told Fox.

Protests began late last year, on Dec. 28, in Iran’s second largest city and one of Iran’s holiest places, Mashhad, due to the country’s high inflation, economic policies and economic inequality, and unemployment. The protests have spread to more cities and the message has turned more toward regime change.

The White House Press Secretary released a statement on Wednesday calling for the immediate release of all protestors, following reports of torture and death.

The White House said:

The Trump Administration is deeply concerned by reports that the Iranian regime has imprisoned thousands of ‎Iranian citizens in the past week for engaging in peaceful protests. Further reports that the regime has tortured or killed some of these demonstrators while in detention are even more disturbing. We will not remain silent as the Iranian dictatorship represses the basic rights of its citizens and will hold Iran’s leaders accountable for any violations. The protesters in Iran are expressing legitimate grievances, including demanding an end to their government’s oppression, corruption, and waste of national resources on military adventurism. Iran’s regime claims to support democracy, but when its own people express their aspirations for better lives and an end to injustice, it once again shows its true brutal nature. ‎The United States calls for the immediate release of all political prisoners in Iran, including the victims of the most recent crackdown.

These are the biggest waves of protests since the nationwide protests in 2009 that the world watched through Twitter.

Geert Wilders: The worst is still to come

(SPEISA) — “Islam is the core of the problem, not only the radicals”. “Today, the whole continent is on the hit list”. Geert Wilders, leader of the party of Freedom, the second largest party of Holland, claims that Europe has to fight for its existence against the islamization: “the worst is still to come”

Geert Wilders’ office in the Dutch Parliament at The Hague looks like a bunker. In order to reach him, one has to pass several highly secured doors which can be accessed with special identified electronic keys. At the entrance there are 2 well trained armed cops and are licensed to open fire if necessary even in parliament. A camera is installed right next to them that record all movement all along the way to the office.

Wilders (53) is the most threatened politician in Holland and probably in whole of Europe. The Islamic terror, sweeping through Europe, has been a part of his life since he first started politics 15 years ago. His relentless way of voicing his defiance against the Islamisation has made him an enemy of a lot and also a representative of a significant and growing part of Holland’s population. The party of freedom became the second largest party in parliament after the elections back in March. The other parties agreed in advance not to ever govern with him. However, without his party they have been unable to form a stable coalition. After 6 months of negotiations, there might be an agreement in the coming days.

Wilders that became a key actor in the “patriotic revolution” in Europe -alongside Marine le Pen in France, Heinz Christian Strache in Austria- recognized how the traditional parties have been neglecting the most urgent matters, in his view, threatening the existence of Europe and feels that time is running out and might be too late the day he becomes Prime Minister.

Manchester, London, Barcelona, Paris- merely a part of terror attacks committed during the summer. Is Europe in a state of war?

Evidently it is. War has been declared a long time ago, 1400 years ago. In the past we succeeded to fight back. Unfortunately we have been experiencing in the past years numerous terror attacks. The root of the problem is the islamization of the West, there is no possibility for Islam to integrate and the goal has always been to dominate. The only goal is to attack our way of life and our existence. The elites have tolerated this and now we are not only in a war, we are also struggling with survival. Israel knows this problem very well. We are fighting for our existence today as well.

I’m on the hit list of al Qaeda and other terror organizations already for 15 years, but today we are all on this list and we witness this on a daily basis. I am infuriated with the politicians that made this mass immigration as well as the tsunami of asylum seekers possible. I’m not claiming that every migrant is a terrorist but they have ideologies which oppose freedom and democracy. They were never asked to adapt and today we see the results: total war, not only by people coming from Syria and Iraq but also by homegrown terrorists.

We didn’t reach the worst yet. In the next decades the problem will grow further. In Africa, there is a demographic explosion. According to the UN, a third intends to move to Europe. With our open borders we are incapable to fight for our existence. We are in a very difficult situation and our leaders are fully responsible for it.

Is the refusal to acknowledge the connection between Islam and terror part of the problem?

No doubt. The leading parties of Europe now say: Islam is not the problem, it’s the Salafists. As if we can talk about 2 sorts of Islam. What about the Salafi and Wahabi states of the Middle East that fund and indoctrinate people with ideologies in Europe and America? Saudi Arabia, the state in which Trump was waving with swords, is one of the most problematic states together with the rest of the gulf monarchies.

How much time is left?

Many researches have shown the Islamic influence on society. Muslims do not need to be a majority in a particular state in order to provoke major changes in regard to freedom, to violence and to the rule of law. In reality, we are late. We need to rise again and change this reality. We don’t have a choice. Our existence is at stake. People in whole of Europe realize what the effects are of islamization. People are afraid to send their kids to school or to the main cities. If we won’t fight, by the end of the century we will be part of the Arab world or of Africa. In Britain there are already sharia courts on Europe’s soil. This isn’t a tale, this is real, the situation is terrible.

The jihad rolls on

(UNDERSTANDING THE THREAT) — As everyone settles back into work and the daily routine after the Christmas and New Year’s break, UTT would like to give our readers a quick run down on a few jihadi incidents around the world and the United States in the last WEEK:

SPAIN
Four people were injured in Alaquas, Spain when a Moroccan muslim drove his vehicle on the sidewalk. Police ruled out any links to terrorism because the driver was drunk at the time. Lesson for jihadis – get drunk and then you can get away with jihad.

GERMANY
Berlin police called a Syrian muslim man “deranged” after he attacked several people with a knife “for no apparent reason” at a subway station on New Year’s Eve. The assailant called one of his victims “infidel” before stabbing him.

In response to all the jihadi attacks in Germany, German officials have announced social media websites, like Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter, that allow “obviously illegal” posts could now face up to 50 million Euros in fines. To be clear “obviously illegal” posts are ones that “offend” muslims.

AUSTRIA
Two muslims, aged 18 and 12 have been charged for plotting to bomb a Christmas market in Ludwigshafen, Austria in 2016. According to reports, the 12 year old, at the direction of the 18 year old, made the nail-bomb which failed to detonate as planned.

IRELAND
An 18-yr-old muslim refugee killed a man and attacked two others in Dundalk, Ireland before attacking police. Irish police are still trying to determine a motive.

ITALY
A 38 year old muslim refugee has been charged with attempting to rape a pregnant woman while she was in labor at the Sant’Eugenio Hospital in Rome.

SWEDEN
An explosion, from what is reported to be at least one hand grenade, ripped through a subway station in Stockholm, Sweden injuring at least two people.

ENGLAND
Recently released crime statistics reveal violent crimes in London, England have skyrocketed. Murder rates are up over 27%, robberies are up over 33%, knife crimes rose over 31%, and rapes are up over 18%.The mayor of London is a sharia-adherent muslim who has publicly stated England needs to learn to live with this kind of behavior from muslims.

VERMONT (UNITED STATES)
A muslim man with a machete seriously injured an elderly lady while she was delivering meals to poor people.

NEW YORK, NY
Authorities in New York are reportedly investigating photographs of an Islamic State recruit/supporter near the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Instead of spending the time and effort to shut down and bulldoze jihadi organizations and arrest Islamic leaders, officials in NYC announced the city is going to spend $50 million on “security infrastructure.”

WASHINGTON, DC
1. As UTT reported at the end of last week, U.S. Congressman Keith Ellison publicly endorsed the terrorist group Antifa.

2. Hamas doing business as the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) still has its headquarters two (2) blocks from U.S. House of Representative offices in Washington, D.C. and CAIR has still not been indicted for conspiring to commit terrorism, conspiring to overthrow the United States or any other crime for which abundant evidence exists. Terrorist walking free in suits in the nation’s capital.
