Geert Wilders: Islam is not a religion, it’s a totalitarian ideology

(BREITBART) — by Donna Rachel Edmunds

Islam is a totalitarian ideology, not a religion, and therefore a Dutch constitutional commitment to freedom of religion shouldn’t apply to it, Geert Wilders has said.

In a wide-ranging interview recorded in January and broadcast at the weekend, the populist politician and leader of the Dutch Party for Freedom (PVV) said that although Islam has many of the trappings of religion, it shares more in common with totalitarian ideologies such as communism and fascism and should be treated as such.

“Not only is the Quran more full of anti-Semitism than Mein Kampf – another terrible book – ever was, but one token of proof of totalitarianism is that you are not allowed to leave. That’s the proof of totalitarianism,” he said.

“Islam as an ideology does not allow freedom. Look at almost all the countries in the world where Islam is dominant – you see a total lack of civil society, of rule of law, of freedom for journalists, women, Christians, or even somebody who wants to leave Islam, an apostate.

“You are allowed to leave Christianity or Judaism and become an atheist or the follower of another religion; you are not allowed to leave fascism, you are not allowed to leave Communism. And still today in Holland, in Germany, in the Arab world, the penalty is death if you want to leave Islam.

“That kind of thinking, that kind of violence within an ideology is something that we should not import.”

Conceding that his view was a minority view, and that the Netherlands’ constitution was unlikely to change should his party be victorious in upcoming elections, he clarified that his objection was to Islam as a body of ideas, not to Muslim people.

Hundreds of Christians flee spate of ISIS killings in Egypt

(CHRISTIAN TODAY) — Hundreds of Coptic Christians are arriving in Ismailia, northern Egypt, having fled their homes after ISIS killings increased.

Following a video call for a surge in attacks on Christians, militants killed several Copts with one beheaded and another set on fire. As many as 29 have been killed in recent weeks.

Christian families who left from Al-Arish in the North Sinai Governorate after the escalation of a campaign targeting Christians by Islamic State militants last week, arrive at the Evangelical Church in Ismailia, Egypt, February 24, 2017.

One priest in the terror-struck town of Al-Arish, northern Sinai, said 550 had fled. Other estimates put the total at 250.

Evangelical churches in Ismailia are joining Coptic churches to provide shelter for the refugees.

Evangelical pastor Ezzat Afifi said: ‘They are in a state of fear and shock. Each and every one of them received direct death threats. I hope that this is only temporary. I hope they return to their homes, their schools and friends.’

He added: ‘Many families lost their loved ones, cousins, relatives and friends by killing.’

One refugee, Morcos Bahgat, whose father was killed in a shooting, said: ‘Two masked men attacked my father in his clinic at 2pm. They took him out to the street and made him kneel.

‘They threatened to kill him if he doesn’t confess to Islam. When he refused to do that, they shot him immediately. The police didn’t come and no one did anything, everyone stood there watching.’

Another refugee, whose sister lost her husband and son in the attacks, said: ‘We received death threats.’

She added according to SAT-7, a Christian charity: ‘Our houses are built on hills and we are not able to install any security cameras to know who is on the other side of the door. Whoever opens the door of their home is killed.’

A statement from the Egyptian Council of Churches described a ‘great sadness and worry’ over the killings.

Iraqi sinkhole mass grave for 4,000 ISIS victims

(RT) — The bodies of some 4,000 Islamic State victims have been buried in the Khasfa sinkhole in Iraq’s desert, making it the country’s largest mass grave, according to locals, police, and activists, as cited by The Telegraph.

The sinkhole is located near the Baghdad-Mosul highway, only eight kilometers from Mosul, the daily reports.

Witnesses and police, as well as human rights organizations, say that Islamic State (IS, Daesh, formerly ISIS/ISIL) murdered and dumped the bodies of thousands of Iraqi troops into the sinkhole after they captured Mosul three years ago.

The majority were shot and thrown into the pit, locals said.

“Daesh would drive the victims to Khasfa in convoys of minibuses, trucks and pickups. The men had their hands bound and their eyes blindfolded. They were taken to the sinkhole and shot in the back of the head,” 40-year-old local villager Mahmoud told The Daily Telegraph.

The terrorist killers were masked, the witness added.

Earlier this week, the Telegraph reportedly went to the Khasfa sinkhole following the recapture of the western half of Mosul by Iraqi troops.

The city has been under IS control since 2014, and the offensive to retake it began in October.

On Friday, Iraqi forces seized the city’s airport.

Over the past years, IS is believed to have conducted a campaign to hunt down and murder policemen and soldiers and toss them into mass graves in the desert.

Human Rights Watch reported last November that IS had executed at least 300 policemen and buried them in a mass grave some 30 kilometers from Mosul.

Another mass grave containing 100 beheaded bodies was found earlier that month in a school just outside of Mosul.

Islamic State planning attacks on civilians in Britain: Anti-terrorism lawyer

(TERROR ALERT) — Islamic State militants are planning indiscriminate attacks on innocent civilians in Britain on a scale similar to those staged by the Irish Republican Army 40 years ago, the head of the country’s new terrorism watchdog said.

In an interview with the Sunday Telegraph published on Sunday, Max Hill, the lawyer tasked with overseeing British laws on terrorism, said the militants were targeting cities and posed “an enormous ongoing risk which none of us can ignore”.

“In terms of the threat that’s represented, I think the intensity and the potential frequency of serious plot planning – with a view to indiscriminate attacks on innocent civilians of whatever race or color in metropolitan areas – represents an enormous ongoing risk that none of us can ignore,” he said.

“So I think that there is undoubtedly significant ongoing risk which is at least as great as the threat to London in the 70s when the IRA were active on the mainland.”

The IRA abandoned its armed struggle for an end to British control of Northern Ireland and unification with Ireland in a 1998 peace deal. More than 3,600 people were killed, including more than 1,000 members of the British security forces, during a sectarian conflict that began in the late 1960s.

British security officials have repeatedly said that Islamic State militants, who are losing ground in Iraq and Syria, will target Britain.

SWEDEN MAYHEM: Police find HAND GRENADE in crisis-hit ‘no-go zone’ after deadly shooting

(UK EXPRESS) — By Rebecca Perring

A HAND grenade has been discovered at a public park in the Swedish city of Malmo, part of a cache of dangerous weapons found in the Kronobord area.

The area is close to the Malmo Stadium which is home to local football team IFK Malmo.

The bomb squad was called in to areas around the pond in the park at around 12.30pm (local time).

Officers have been searching for weapons after the shooting of a 53-year-old janitor in Roskildevägen street, which borders the park.

A 15-year-old has been arrested in connection with the shooting. But police do not believe the hand grenade was connected to the murder.

The discovery comes after officials placed more than 50 areas on a ‘no-go zone’ list where they admit they do not have control.

Lawless thugs are wreaking havoc and officers are often at personal risk when entering the crisis-hit areas in Sweden.

Malmo is reportedly struggling to cope with crime as it’s described as a “lawless city” and “battlefield”.

Sweden Is Having Big Trouble With Mideast Refugees

(REAL CLEAR POLITICS) — By Rich Lowry
February 23, 2017

As if on cue, riots broke out in a heavily immigrant suburb of Stockholm as soon as the media mocked President Donald Trump for a vague warning about immigration-related problems in Sweden.

At a campaign rally over the weekend, Trump issued forth with a mystifyingly ominous statement. “You look,” he declared, “at what’s happening last night in Sweden.” What? Had the president invented a nonexistent terror attack? As it turned out, the reference was to a segment on Sweden he had watched on the Fox News show Tucker Carlson Tonight the previous night, rather than to any specific event in the Nordic country.

The ensuing discussion quickly took on the character of much of the debate in the early Trump years — a blunderbuss president matched against a snotty and hyperventilating press, with a legitimate issue lurking underneath.

By welcoming a historic number of asylum-seekers proportionate to its population, Sweden has indeed embarked on a vast social experiment that wasn’t well thought out and isn’t going very well. The unrest in the Stockholm suburb of Rinkeby after police made an arrest the other night underscored the problems inherent in Sweden’s immigration surge.

Sweden’s admirable humanitarianism is outstripping its capacity to absorb newcomers. Nothing if not an earnest and well-meaning society, Sweden has always accepted more than its share of refugees. Immigration was already at elevated levels before the latest influx into Europe from the Middle East, which prompted Sweden to try to see and raise the reckless open-borders policy of German chancellor Angela Merkel.

Savages of Stockholm

(SULTAN KNISH) By Daniel Greenfield

Europe has many fine traditions. Its newest tradition is the burning car. Why burn cars? Because, as George Mallory once said of mountains, they’re there. There are lots of cars around and if you’re a member of a perpetually unemployed tribe that wandered up north and forages on social services, you might as well do something to pass the time.

Burning houses is a lot of work and house fires spread. Car fires are simpler. In a welfare state everyone has houses but not everyone has cars. Burning cars is a way to stick it to those who work for a living. It’s also a way to drive off the members of the sickly Swedish tribe and claim the area for your own. And it’s also fun.

Either you have a plan for buying a car or for burning a car. Considering the Muslim unemployment rates in Sweden, France and everywhere else, it’s safe to say the car burners don’t have future plans that involve saving up for a car or taking out a loan for a car or finding work. Cars are things that they steal, either the usual way or by defrauding social services. They might get a car by dealing drugs, but those cars are disposable. One day they’ll have to burn them anyway.

If you’re the product of an industrialized culture, then you think of a car as a product of work. You realize that it’s the product of countless raw materials, that the metals had to be dug out of the earth, that the machines that make it had to be assembled and that men had to stand around putting that into place. And you might be one of those men. And if you aren’t, then you might know someone who is.

But if you come from a pre-industrial culture which may have factories, PhDs and cars, but no sense of the connection between product, innovation and effort, then why not burn a car or a city? Things fall into the category of that which you and your family own… and that which they do not. Anything in the latter category may be stolen or vandalized because it has no value.

ISIS radical claiming to have raped 200 women explains: ‘Young men need this, it’s normal’

(CHRISTIAN POST) — A captured Islamic State terror group soldier, who claims to have raped over 200 women and killed as many as 500 people in total, tried to explain that the reason IS carries out mass rape of women and children is because “young men need this.”

(Photo: Reuters)Amar Hussein, 21, a captured IS militant in this undated photo.

Amar Hussein, the militant who was captured in October during an assault on the city of Kirkuk in Iraq, spoke with Reuters about his experiences, revealing that IS commanders gave soldiers permission to rape as many Yazidi women and other minorities as they wanted.

“Young men need this,” Hussein apparently said. “This is normal.”

The jihadist explained that militants were able to rape so many women because they moved from house to house in the captured cities in Iraq, taking women and children as sex slaves, while killing the men.

“We shot whoever we needed to shoot and beheaded whoever we needed to behead,” he added.

Hussein, who was first taken to be a jihadi fighter at 14 years of age, recalled that IS leaders trained soldiers to kill people, and although at first it was difficult for him to obey such orders, it got easier the more he did it.

“Seven, eight, 10 at a time, 30 or 40 people,” he described. “We would take them in the desert and kill them.”

While Hussein’s claims of how many women he has raped and people in total he has killed are yet to be verified, several major international organizations have documented the mass enslavement and rape of women and children that goes on in captured IS territory.

Documents obtained by The Washington Post earlier in February revealed that IS keeps detailed records of its fighters, categorizing them by blood types and listing out how many “slave girls” each is allowed to own.

Survivors who have escaped IS, such as humans rights defender Nadia Murad, have been sharing their horrific stories of abuse.

“We didn’t feel valued as humans in their hands,” Murad, whose Yazidi family was shot in front of her, said in an interview.

Truck bomb in Somali capital kills 30

(VOA) — Somali officials say at least 30 people were killed and dozens others wounded when a massive car bomb exploded in a busy market in the capital Mogadishu on Sunday.

Witnesses said a car laden with explosives targeted a market in Kawo-Goday area in Mogadishu’s Wadajir district.

Security officials told VOA’s Somali service the victims included civilians and government soldiers. Scores of people wounded in the attack have been transported to local hospital.

Director of Madina hospital Mohamed Yusuf told VOA they have received least 32 people wounded in the attack so far.

No one has yet claimed the responsibility for the blast, but officials blamed al-Shabab militants.

Sunday’s attack came hours after al-Shabab denounced Somalia’s new president Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo.

A senior leader of the group has vowed to continue fighting the government. In an audio message, Sheikh Hassan Yaqub, a senior commander, called the new president an “apostate” and warned Somalis against supporting him.

‘Islam is taking over’ Farage stunned as caller tells him fears for Britain

(UK EXPRESS) — By Darren Hunt

Former UKIP leader Nigel Farage was left stunned when a caller to the talk show he was hosting told Islam is rapidly and deliberately taking over Britain.

A caller phoned him on his LBC show as the host debated whether Europeans would support an immigration ban on citizens from majority-Muslim countries.

Similar to Donald Trump’s controversial ban on people from majority-Muslim countries, Farage claimed Europe is in favor of a similar policy.

The former Ukip leader, speaking from Strasburg, revealed how a recent poll conducted by Chatham House said over half of people living in Europe questioned would be in favor of a similar ban.

A survey of 10,000 Europeans showed that 56 per cent would support an immigration ban on citizens from majority-Muslim countries, while a caller then suggested that Muslims were already taking over the UK.

Speaking on LBC, Paul, from Liverpool, revealed how he had entered a Mosque and was shocked at what he heard from the Imam as he tried to get a grasp of the religion.

Speaking about the Imam, Paul claimed: “He said – ‘Allah has given us this country and every knee will bow at the name of Allah’.

“Islam is a takeover movement, it believes that Allah has given them this country, they’ll just take it over.

“We will have one choice, either convert or go or we will be pushed aside. Why are we allowing this to happen? This is colonization, this is takeover why have the leaders allowed this over the generations.”

During the show, Farage insisted he would “never ever suggest” a total ban on seven majority-Muslim countries from entering Britain.

However, caller Paul continued with his furious tirade over his ideas of the current situation in Britain.

He added: “A Muslim population has exploded in this country. In 1971 there was just 70,000 Muslims, nobody knows how many there are now, there may be as many as seven million.

“We know there are 2,000 mosques in Britain now, when the Queen came on the throne there was only one.”
