Geert Wilders: Islam is not a religion, it’s a totalitarian ideology

(BREITBART) — by Donna Rachel Edmunds

Islam is a totalitarian ideology, not a religion, and therefore a Dutch constitutional commitment to freedom of religion shouldn’t apply to it, Geert Wilders has said.

In a wide-ranging interview recorded in January and broadcast at the weekend, the populist politician and leader of the Dutch Party for Freedom (PVV) said that although Islam has many of the trappings of religion, it shares more in common with totalitarian ideologies such as communism and fascism and should be treated as such.

“Not only is the Quran more full of anti-Semitism than Mein Kampf – another terrible book – ever was, but one token of proof of totalitarianism is that you are not allowed to leave. That’s the proof of totalitarianism,” he said.

“Islam as an ideology does not allow freedom. Look at almost all the countries in the world where Islam is dominant – you see a total lack of civil society, of rule of law, of freedom for journalists, women, Christians, or even somebody who wants to leave Islam, an apostate.

“You are allowed to leave Christianity or Judaism and become an atheist or the follower of another religion; you are not allowed to leave fascism, you are not allowed to leave Communism. And still today in Holland, in Germany, in the Arab world, the penalty is death if you want to leave Islam.

“That kind of thinking, that kind of violence within an ideology is something that we should not import.”

Conceding that his view was a minority view, and that the Netherlands’ constitution was unlikely to change should his party be victorious in upcoming elections, he clarified that his objection was to Islam as a body of ideas, not to Muslim people.

Iraqi sinkhole mass grave for 4,000 ISIS victims

(RT) — The bodies of some 4,000 Islamic State victims have been buried in the Khasfa sinkhole in Iraq’s desert, making it the country’s largest mass grave, according to locals, police, and activists, as cited by The Telegraph.

The sinkhole is located near the Baghdad-Mosul highway, only eight kilometers from Mosul, the daily reports.

Witnesses and police, as well as human rights organizations, say that Islamic State (IS, Daesh, formerly ISIS/ISIL) murdered and dumped the bodies of thousands of Iraqi troops into the sinkhole after they captured Mosul three years ago.

The majority were shot and thrown into the pit, locals said.

“Daesh would drive the victims to Khasfa in convoys of minibuses, trucks and pickups. The men had their hands bound and their eyes blindfolded. They were taken to the sinkhole and shot in the back of the head,” 40-year-old local villager Mahmoud told The Daily Telegraph.

The terrorist killers were masked, the witness added.

Earlier this week, the Telegraph reportedly went to the Khasfa sinkhole following the recapture of the western half of Mosul by Iraqi troops.

The city has been under IS control since 2014, and the offensive to retake it began in October.

On Friday, Iraqi forces seized the city’s airport.

Over the past years, IS is believed to have conducted a campaign to hunt down and murder policemen and soldiers and toss them into mass graves in the desert.

Human Rights Watch reported last November that IS had executed at least 300 policemen and buried them in a mass grave some 30 kilometers from Mosul.

Another mass grave containing 100 beheaded bodies was found earlier that month in a school just outside of Mosul.

ISIS radical claiming to have raped 200 women explains: ‘Young men need this, it’s normal’

(CHRISTIAN POST) — A captured Islamic State terror group soldier, who claims to have raped over 200 women and killed as many as 500 people in total, tried to explain that the reason IS carries out mass rape of women and children is because “young men need this.”

(Photo: Reuters)Amar Hussein, 21, a captured IS militant in this undated photo.

Amar Hussein, the militant who was captured in October during an assault on the city of Kirkuk in Iraq, spoke with Reuters about his experiences, revealing that IS commanders gave soldiers permission to rape as many Yazidi women and other minorities as they wanted.

“Young men need this,” Hussein apparently said. “This is normal.”

The jihadist explained that militants were able to rape so many women because they moved from house to house in the captured cities in Iraq, taking women and children as sex slaves, while killing the men.

“We shot whoever we needed to shoot and beheaded whoever we needed to behead,” he added.

Hussein, who was first taken to be a jihadi fighter at 14 years of age, recalled that IS leaders trained soldiers to kill people, and although at first it was difficult for him to obey such orders, it got easier the more he did it.

“Seven, eight, 10 at a time, 30 or 40 people,” he described. “We would take them in the desert and kill them.”

While Hussein’s claims of how many women he has raped and people in total he has killed are yet to be verified, several major international organizations have documented the mass enslavement and rape of women and children that goes on in captured IS territory.

Documents obtained by The Washington Post earlier in February revealed that IS keeps detailed records of its fighters, categorizing them by blood types and listing out how many “slave girls” each is allowed to own.

Survivors who have escaped IS, such as humans rights defender Nadia Murad, have been sharing their horrific stories of abuse.

“We didn’t feel valued as humans in their hands,” Murad, whose Yazidi family was shot in front of her, said in an interview.

‘Islam is taking over’ Farage stunned as caller tells him fears for Britain

(UK EXPRESS) — By Darren Hunt

Former UKIP leader Nigel Farage was left stunned when a caller to the talk show he was hosting told Islam is rapidly and deliberately taking over Britain.

A caller phoned him on his LBC show as the host debated whether Europeans would support an immigration ban on citizens from majority-Muslim countries.

Similar to Donald Trump’s controversial ban on people from majority-Muslim countries, Farage claimed Europe is in favor of a similar policy.

The former Ukip leader, speaking from Strasburg, revealed how a recent poll conducted by Chatham House said over half of people living in Europe questioned would be in favor of a similar ban.

A survey of 10,000 Europeans showed that 56 per cent would support an immigration ban on citizens from majority-Muslim countries, while a caller then suggested that Muslims were already taking over the UK.

Speaking on LBC, Paul, from Liverpool, revealed how he had entered a Mosque and was shocked at what he heard from the Imam as he tried to get a grasp of the religion.

Speaking about the Imam, Paul claimed: “He said – ‘Allah has given us this country and every knee will bow at the name of Allah’.

“Islam is a takeover movement, it believes that Allah has given them this country, they’ll just take it over.

“We will have one choice, either convert or go or we will be pushed aside. Why are we allowing this to happen? This is colonization, this is takeover why have the leaders allowed this over the generations.”

During the show, Farage insisted he would “never ever suggest” a total ban on seven majority-Muslim countries from entering Britain.

However, caller Paul continued with his furious tirade over his ideas of the current situation in Britain.

He added: “A Muslim population has exploded in this country. In 1971 there was just 70,000 Muslims, nobody knows how many there are now, there may be as many as seven million.

“We know there are 2,000 mosques in Britain now, when the Queen came on the throne there was only one.”

Blast rips through Sufi shrine in Pakistan, 100 dead

(TIMES OF INDIA) — Nearly 100 people were killed and several injured tonight when an Islamic State suicide bomber blew himself up inside the crowded shrine of revered Sufi Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Sehwan town, some 200 KM northeast of Karachi, in a string of deadly blasts this week in Pakistan.

The bomber entered the shrine through its Golden gate and blew himself up near the site where the ritual of sufi dance ‘Dhamal’ was taking place. He first threw a grenade, which failed to explode, SSP Jamshoro Tariq Wilayat said.

“He first threw a grenade to cause panic and then blew himself up,” the SSP said.

Sehwan police station SHO Rasool Baksh told reporters that around 100 people, including women and children, have been killed in the suicide bomb attack

Hundreds of devotees were present inside the premises of the vast mausoleum of the saint at the time of blast.

Faisal Edhi of the Edhi foundation confirmed they have shifted 60 bodies to hospitals in Hyderabad and Jamshoro.

The ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack on their Aamaq news agency, saying a suicide bomber had targeted a “Shiite gathering” at the shrine in Sindh.

Commissioner Hyderabad Kazi Shahid said since the shrine was located in a remote area, some 130 kms from Hyderabad, ambulances and vehicles and medical teams were being sent from Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Moro, Dadu and Nawabshah to the blast site to take care of the injured and move the bodies.

“Emergency has been declared at hospitals in these places and rescue operations have started,” he said.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said that the Pakistan army had been requested to provide night flying helicopters to shift the dead and injured.

“Yes it is a tragic incident and because the shrine is away from a major city there have been problems in providing rescue operations,” he said.

The army said a C130 aircraft will be used to lift the injured from Nawabshah.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif condemned the attack and urged Pakistan to “stand united”.

How to bring an end to Islam

PEOPLE WHO ARE TERRIFIED BY THE RELENTLESS advance of Islam should take comfort in the fact that no one in Athens today believes that Zeus resides on Mount Olympus or that no one in Rome still worships at the temple of Jupiter.

Zeus and Jupiter were deity myths that bound Greek and Roman civilizations together, but they were ultimately discarded when people began to see they were nothing more than fabulous stories.

Why this should be comforting to people today is the fact that Islam is based entirely on a myth, one whose demise is long overdue. This is the myth that God talked to Muhammad, that he was God’s “messenger.” Everything Muslims believe and everything they do is derived from that primary, bedrock myth.

Given that Islam aspires eventually to take over the entire world and that it is making rapid progress in infiltrating and undermining the West, isn’t it time to go after the myth that sustains it? To destroy the myth about Muhammad is to destroy what he created. Read more »

”The Project” – The Islamic plan of conquest nobody paid attention to

(SPEISA) — We were warned about the current situation way back in 2005, when FrontPage Magazine wrote about “The project,” an Islamic plot to take over the world.

Of course, in 2005, FrontPage Magazine was not widely known and had no Facebook page, and mainstream media was not interested at all.

So here it is, what the West should have been aware of, but wasn’t:

FRONTPAGE MAGAZINE article by Patrick Poole

One might be led to think that if international law enforcement authorities and Western intelligence agencies had discovered a twenty-year old document revealing a top-secret plan developed by the oldest Islamist organization with one of the most extensive terror networks in the world to launch a program of “cultural invasion” and eventual conquest of the West that virtually mirrors the tactics used by Islamists for more than two decades, that such news would scream from headlines published on the front pages and above the fold of the New York Times, Washington Post, London Times, Le Monde, Bild, and La Repubblica.

If that’s what you might think, you would be wrong.

In fact, such a document was recovered in a raid by Swiss authorities in November 2001, two months after the horror of 9/11. Since that time information about this document, known in counterterrorism circles as “The Project”, and discussion regarding its content has been limited to the top-secret world of Western intelligence communities.

Only through the work of an intrepid Swiss journalist, Sylvain Besson of Le Temps, and his book published in October 2005 in France, La conquête de l’Occident: Le projet secret des Islamistes (The Conquest of the West: The Islamists’ Secret Project), has information regarding The Project finally been made public. One Western official cited by Besson has described The Project as “a totalitarian ideology of infiltration which represents, in the end, the greatest danger for European societies.”

What Western intelligence authorities know about The Project begins with the raid of a luxurious villa in Campione, Switzerland on November 7, 2001. The target of the raid was Youssef Nada, director of the Al-Taqwa Bank of Lugano, who has had active association with the Muslim Brotherhood for more than 50 years and who admitted to being one of the organization’s international leaders. The Muslim Brotherhood, regarded as the oldest and one of the most important Islamist movements in the world, was founded by Hasan al-Banna in 1928 and dedicated to the credo, “Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. Qur’an is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.”

The raid was conducted by Swiss law enforcement at the request of the White House in the initial crackdown on terrorist finances in the immediate aftermath of 9/11. US and Swiss investigators had been looking at Al-Taqwa’s involvement in money laundering and funding a wide range of Islamic terrorist groups, including Al-Qaeda, HAMAS (the Palestinian affiliate of the Muslim Brotherhood), the Algerian GIA, and the Tunisian Ennahdah.

Included in the documents seized during the raid of Nada’s Swiss villa was a 14-page plan written in Arabic and dated December 1, 1982, which outlines a 12-point strategy to “establish an Islamic government on earth” – identified as The Project. According to testimony given to Swiss authorities by Nada, the unsigned document was prepared by “Islamic researchers” associated with the Muslim Brotherhood.

What makes The Project so different from the standard “Death of America! Death to Israel!” and “Establish the global caliphate!” Islamist rhetoric is that it represents a flexible, multi-phased, long-term approach to the “cultural invasion” of the West. Calling for the utilization of various tactics, ranging from immigration, infiltration, surveillance, propaganda, protest, deception, political legitimacy and terrorism, The Project has served for more than two decades as the Muslim Brotherhood “master plan”. As can be seen in a number of examples throughout Europe – including the political recognition of parallel Islamist government organizations in Sweden, the recent “cartoon” jihad in Denmark, the Parisian car-burning intifada last November, and the 7/7 terrorist attacks in London – the plan outlined in The Project has been overwhelmingly successful.

Rather than focusing on terrorism as the sole method of group action, as is the case with Al-Qaeda, in perfect postmodern fashion the use of terror falls into a multiplicity of options available to progressively infiltrate, confront, and eventually establish Islamic domination over the West.

The following tactics and techniques are among the many recommendations made in The Project:

– Networking and coordinating actions between likeminded Islamist organizations;

– Avoiding open alliances with known terrorist organizations and individuals to maintain the appearance of “moderation”;

– Infiltrating and taking over existing Muslim organizations to realign them towards the Muslim Brotherhood’s collective goals;

– Using deception to mask the intended goals of Islamist actions, as long as it doesn’t conflict with shari’a law;

– Avoiding social conflicts with Westerners locally, nationally or globally, that might damage the long-term ability to expand the Islamist powerbase in the West or provoke a lash back against Muslims;

– Establishing financial networks to fund the work of conversion of the West, including the support of full-time administrators and workers;

– Conducting surveillance, obtaining data, and establishing collection and data storage capabilities;

– Putting into place a watchdog system for monitoring Western media to warn Muslims of “international plots fomented against them”;

– Cultivating an Islamist intellectual community, including the establishment of think-tanks and advocacy groups, and publishing “academic” studies, to legitimize Islamist positions and to chronicle the history of Islamist movements;

– Developing a comprehensive 100-year plan to advance Islamist ideology throughout the world;

– Balancing international objectives with local flexibility;

– Building extensive social networks of schools, hospitals and charitable organizations dedicated to Islamist ideals so that contact with the movement for Muslims in the West is constant;

– Involving ideologically committed Muslims in democratically-elected institutions on all levels in the West, including government, NGOs, private organizations and labor unions;

– Instrumentally using existing Western institutions until they can be converted and put into service of Islam;

– Drafting Islamic constitutions, laws and policies for eventual implementation;

– Avoiding conflict within the Islamist movements on all levels, including the development of processes for conflict resolution;

– Instituting alliances with Western “progressive” organizations that share similar goals;

– Creating autonomous “security forces” to protect Muslims in the West;

– Inflaming violence and keeping Muslims living in the West “in a jihad frame of mind”;

– Supporting jihad movements across the Muslim world through preaching, propaganda, personnel, funding, and technical and operational support;

– Making the Palestinian cause a global wedge issue for Muslims;

– Adopting the total liberation of Palestine from Israel and the creation of an Islamic state as a keystone in the plan for global Islamic domination;

– Instigating a constant campaign to incite hatred by Muslims against Jews and rejecting any discussions of conciliation or coexistence with them;

– Actively creating jihad terror cells within Palestine;

– Linking the terrorist activities in Palestine with the global terror movement;
Collecting sufficient funds to indefinitely perpetuate and support jihad around the world;

In reading The Project, it should be kept in mind that it was drafted in 1982 when current tensions and terrorist activities in the Middle East were still very nascent. In many respects, The Project is extremely prescient for outlining the bulk of Islamist action, whether by “moderate” Islamist organizations or outright terror groups, over the past two decades.

At present, most of what is publicly known about The Project is the result of Sylvain Besson’s investigative work, including his book and a related article published last October in the Swiss daily, Le Temps, L’islamisme à la conquête du monde (Islamism and the Conquest of the World), profiling his book, which is only available in a French-language edition. At least one Egyptian newspaper, Al-Mussawar, published the entire Arabic text of The Project last November.

In the English-language press, the attention paid to Besson’s revelation of The Project has been almost non-existent. The only mention found in a mainstream media publication in the US has been as a secondary item in an article in the Weekly Standard (February 20, 2006) by Olivier Guitta, The Cartoon Jihad. The most extensive commentary on The Project has been by an American researcher and journalist living in London, Scott Burgess, who has posted his analysis of the document on his blog, The Daily Ablution. Along with his commentary, an English translation of the French text of The Project was serialized in December (Parts I, II, III, IV, V, Conclusion). The complete English translation prepared by Mr. Burgess is presented in its entirety here with his permission.

The lack of public discussion about The Project notwithstanding, the document and the plan it outlines has been the subject of considerable discussion amongst the Western intelligence agencies. One US counterterrorism official who spoke with Besson about The Project, and who is cited in Guitta’s Weekly Standard article, is current White House terrorism czar, Juan Zarate. Calling The Project a Muslim Brotherhood master plan for “spreading their political ideology,” Zarate expressed concerns to Besson because “the Muslim Brotherhood is a group that worries us not because it deals with philosophical or ideological ideas but because it defends the use of violence against civilians.”

One renowned international scholar of Islamist movements who also spoke with Besson, Reuven Paz, talked about The Project in its historical context:

The Project was part of the charter of the international organization of the Muslim Brotherhood, which was official established on July 29, 1982. It reflects a vast plan which was revived in the 1960s, with the immigration of Brotherhood intellectuals, principally Syrian and Egyptians, into Europe.

As Paz notes, The Project was drafted by the Muslim Brotherhood as part of its rechartering process in 1982, a time that marks an upswing in its organizational expansion internationally, as well as a turning point in the alternating periods of repression and toleration by the Egyptian government. In 1952, the organization played a critical support role to the Free Officers Movement led by Gamal Abdul Nasser, which overthrew King Faruq, but quickly fell out of favor with the new revolutionary regime because of Nasser’s refusal to follow the Muslim Brotherhood’s call to institute an ideologically committed Islamic state. At various times since the July Revolution in 1952, the Brotherhood has regularly been banned and its leaders killed and imprisoned by Egyptian authorities.

Since it was rechartered in 1982, the Muslim Brotherhood has spread its network across the Middle East, Europe, and even America. At home in Egypt, parliamentary elections in 2005 saw the Muslim Brotherhood winning 20 percent of the available legislative seats, comprising the largest opposition party block. Its Palestinian affiliate, known to the world as HAMAS, recently gained control of the Palestinian Authority after elections secured for them 74 of 132 seats in the Palestinian Legislative Council. Its Syrian branch has historically been the largest organized group opposing the Assad regime, and the organization also has affiliates in Jordan, Sudan, and Iraq. In the US, the Muslim Brotherhood is primarily represented by the Muslim American Society (MAS).

Since its formation, the Muslim Brotherhood has advocated the use of terrorism as a means of advancing its agenda of global Islamic domination. But as the largest popular radical movement in the Islamic world, it has attracted many leading Islamist intellectuals. Included among this group of Muslim Brotherhood intellectuals is Youssef Qaradawi, an Egyptian-born, Qatar-based Islamist cleric.

As one of the leading Muslim Brotherhood spiritual figures and radical Islamic preachers (who has his own weekly program on Al-Jazeera), Qaradawi has been one of the leading apologists of suicide bombings in Israel and terrorism against Western interests in the Middle East. Both Sylvain Besson and Scott Burgess provide extensive comparisons between Qaradawi’s publication, Priorities of the Islamic Movement in the Coming Phase, published in 1990, and The Project, which predates Qaradawi’s Priorities by eight years. They note the striking similarities in the language used and the plans and methods both documents advocate. It is speculated that The Project was either used by Qaradawi as a template for his own work, or that he had a hand in its drafting in 1982. Perhaps coincidentally, Qaradawi was the fourth largest shareholder in the Al-Taqwa Bank of Lugano, the director of which, Youssef Nada, was the individual in whose possession The Project was found. Since 1999, Qaradawi has been banned from entering the US as a result of his connections to terrorist organizations and his outspoken advocacy of terrorism.

For those who have read The Project, what is most troubling is not that Islamists have developed a plan for global dominance; it has been assumed by experts that Islamist organizations and terrorist groups have been operating off an agreed-upon set of general principles, networks and methodology. What is startling is how effectively the Islamist plan for conquest outlined in The Project has been implemented by Muslims in the West for more than two decades. Equally troubling is the ideology that lies behind the plan: inciting hatred and violence against Jewish populations around the world; the deliberate co-opting and subversion of Western public and private institutions; its recommendation of a policy of deliberate escalating confrontation by Muslims living in the West against their neighbors and fellow-citizens; the acceptance of terrorism as a legitimate option for achieving their ends and the inevitable reality of jihad against non-Muslims; and its ultimate goal of forcibly instituting the Islamic rule of the caliphate by shari’a in the West, and eventually the whole world.

If the experience over the past quarter of a century seen in Europe and the US is any indication, the “Islamic researchers” who drafted The Project more than two decades ago must be pleased to see their long-term plan to conquer the West and to see the Green flag of Islam raised over its citizens realized so rapidly, efficiently and completely. If Islamists are equally successful in the years to come, Westerners ought to enjoy their personal and political freedoms while they last.

House report says 2017 terror forecast ‘alarming’

(TRUTH REVOLT) — By Mark Tapson

A monthly terror forecast from Homeland Security warns that 2017 “looks alarming” for the U.S. and Europe.

According to Fox News, the House Homeland Security Committee’s February “Terror Threat Snapshot” report predicts that efforts to crush foreign terror groups could cause more attacks on American soil. It cites an “unprecedented spike in the homegrown terror threat, primarily driven by the rise of ISIS,” and warns of “lone wolf” attacks as well as homegrown terrorists who return from fighting in such places as Iraq, Syria and Somalia.

“I am very encouraged that the Trump administration is preparing to put greater pressure on jihadists in their safe havens throughout the world,” said House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Michael McCaul. “But as they do, we can expect to see militants returning to the West to build new networks and to plot more deadly operations.”

The report notes that since the beginning of 2016, there have been plots or attacks by 39 homegrown jihadists in 19 states — Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.

Two attacks occurred just last month, a deadly shooting at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport by ISIS-radicalized Esteban Santiago, and the murder of a Denver Regional Transportation District security officer by a suspect carrying jihadist material in his backpack. And the U.S. and Europe could, as Fox News puts it, “continue to reap the bloody tide of what critics call lax counter-terrorism efforts in the past.”

“Unfortunately, over the past eight years of the Obama administration, the ideological counter-measures were removed and, therefore, the level of radicalization peaked to the levels acknowledged in this report,” says Walid Phares, who advised Trump on foreign policy throughout the campaign. “More jihadis mean more potential attacks — this is what we are facing now.”

Massive Worldwide Support for Sharia Law Among Global Muslim Community

(CANADA FREE PRESS) — By Sierra Rayne

In the aftermath of the uproar caused by Donald Trump’s press release “calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on,” the Pew Research Center released some truly astonishing polling data on the support among Muslims worldwide for Sharia law.

Everywhere we look around the globe, there are substantial—and generally dominant—percentages of Muslims who favor making Sharia the official law in their country.

Have a look at these numbers:

Eyewitness: Life Under ISIS

(CLARION PROJECT) — On February 5, we reported on the ‘biting women’ of ISIS. This time we take a look at the broader treatment of civilians by ISIS:

S, a young lawyer from Mosul, fell from her ladder and needed medical attention. “I was in pain but didn’t go to see a doctor because I couldn’t stand the sight of all the ISIS men in the clinics,” she told the Russian news agency Sputnik.

Even patients were reportedly assaulted by the men and women of Islamic State; foreigners took the brunt of the violence.

The first year Islamic State (ISIS, ISIL) took control of Mosul, S would stay at home watching TV or using the internet. However, after that, ISIS cut off all outside communication.

If a number of ISIS men gathered on the street where S lived she knew that would spell trouble. It meant house searches and more.

The male members of the morality police would pick on men with light, wispy beards or those wearing short sleeves. Smoking was also forbidden. Violators would be beaten and fined. The poor were whipped the most and sent to work in cemeteries.

One who spoke against ISIS or one of its members could face execution. Alternatively, they could have their mouths sewn up.

“There was no recreational place for families, especially for kids in Mosul,” said S. “Even the promenades were empty because of all the morality police that would hang around there.”

This had a negative impact of the children’s physical and mental well being and development, she said.

Most children did not receive vaccinations, and many died because of the terrible conditions of the hospitals, lack of medications, services and the regular power cuts.
